The Brijuni archipelago stretches along the south west coast of the peninsula of Istria. The islands consist of two large islands, Veli (big) Brijun and Mali (small) Brijun plus twelve other smaller islands. The coastline is mostly low and rocky, although very accessible, with a few sandy and pebble inlets.

Plitvice Lakes count among Europe's most beautiful national parks. They are situated in the mountainous region of Lika, Croatia. A total of 16 lakes lying at different altitutes are separated by travertine barriers and linked by foamy waterfalls and cascades. Their creation is a scientific phenomenon. As the geological processes continue today the lakes and waterfalls are continually changing. You can enjoy long walks in the forest, sightseeing of the caves and sources or a visit to the bear reserve in the vicinity of the national park.
